Injuries were sustained by a 42 year old husband and father, when he was making deliveries and an unsecured, oversized tire, weighting approximately 649 lbs fell on top of him. He suffered a fracture of his right knee and bilateral ACL detachments, requiring surgery to both knees and two additional ACL replacements of the right knee, and necessary future left ACL replacement surgery and potential knee replacements, and a herniated disc in the neck, requiring a fusion surgery. He suffered substantial wage loss. The verdict was obtained in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri.

Jurors found that a police officer used excessive force, by Taser, on a 31 year old man, causing his death, and that the police department failed to properly monitor, discipline and supervise officers, creating an environment where officers were very loose with their use of force. The officer fired his Taser four times, including three times after the man had fallen to the ground and without giving him a chance to respond to the officer’s commands. The verdict was obtained in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri.

His minor daughter suffered leg fractures, lumbar injury, rib head fracture, ruptured discs at multiple levels of her lumbar and thoracic spine requiring decompression surgery with cage, plate and screws, loss of consciousness, deep laceration down to the bone of the forehead and multiple abrasions, hematomas, contusions, to multiple parts of her body.

The plaintiff suffered broken ribs, a fractured pelvis and a collapsed lung in an automobile accident. The insurance company offered a pretrial settlement of $1 million. Compensation was won in state court.
